After 8 years with a large wine marketing and sales company,
working in the Southwest and the Midwest, I decided to leave
the corporate world. I moved back to Colorado from Chicago,
and began a new chapter in my career as an independent wine
"broker/importer", selling wines to distributors
in Colorado, Arizona, and New Mexico.
I enjoyed doing this
for the next 25 years and, during that time, made many rewarding,
lasting relationships with great people from the retail and
restaurant trade, as well as from wineries and wine marketing
companies. Also, during those many years, I came to see that
the real heart of the industry was made up of people with a
real love of wine (and food along with that) who were endlessly
excited, curious, and appreciative about the enjoyment of wine.
These people are passionate students of wine and realize its
value to culture and quality of life, and often have a missionary
zeal to pass on their passion and appreciation to others. I
can’t understate the pleasure it is for me to be a part of an
industry that I love and to know that I am interacting, on a
daily basis, with people who feel the same way that I do.

I had the opportunity to grow up in the wine industry, and have always been aware of the value that wine and food have to our culture. This was never more evident than in my travels in Spain, where I really caught the wine bug and found a true fondness for wine, culture, traveling, and a deeper understanding of how history, art, and wine can culminate into a very serious passion. I feel very priviledged to be able to meet people from all parts of the world-to learn of their cultures, and to sell the treasured wines and spirits that they themselves are so passionate about!
