Larkmead has been an integral part of Napa Valley's history since the late 19th Century. Larkmead was one of the four great Napa Valley wineries before prohibition and an early founder of the Napa Valley Vintners Association. Larkmead is proud to be embarking on its third century of crafting 100% Estate grown, 100% Napa Valley wines. This wonderfully diverse vineyard is located on Larkmead Lane in the Northern part of Napa Valley. Our vision is in the tradition of our forbearers: to create consistently excellent wines from our Estate - wines that are a true expression of place. Both as vintner and as a grower for several other leading Napa Valley wineries, Larkmead focuses primarily on Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and other key Bordeaux varietals Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot. We are also excited about working with new blocks of Syrah, Zinfandel and Sauvignon Blanc. The Brotte House, an independent family enterprise for three generations, was founded in 1931, at Châteauneuf-du-Pape, by Mr. Charles Brotte, one of the pioneers of wine bottlings of the Rhône Valley. This activity of Trade-Stockbreeder in particular developed under the brand Père Anselme thanks to his emblematic Châteauneuf-du-Pape “la Fiole du Pape”, original and exclusive bottle created in 1952.
