The wines of Philippe-Loraine are hand crafted, artisan wines, produced from 100% from the finest vineyards in the Napa Valley. Phillip Baxter, who has been consistently producing some of the valley’s finest varietal examples for over 35 years, created the Philippe-Loraine label to honor his maternal grandparents. Now, he is able to share his passion for the Napa Valley with his son Phillip Jr., also an accomplished wine-maker, as they collaborate on the wines of Phillipe-Loraine. We produce three wines from small vineyard lots that Phillip has personally sourced and hand selected. The vineyards, the growers, and the soils have all become very familiar to Phil and all of these factors play vital roles in the finished wines. The wines are produced in small quantities and are make in a classic, balanced, elegant style, representative of the type of wines Phil has been creating in the Napa Valley for over 35 years.
