Teira Wines was founded by Dan Donahoe and Alexis Woods in the summer of 2002. Our roots in the wine business go deep, giving us access to wines that may otherwise be lost in larger, more corporate winery blends. The French word for "Woods" is "Bois" - and the primary reason why Alexis' father, Frank Woods, decided to name his winery "Clos du Bois" in 1974. Founded in 2002 and named after our two daughters, Thea and Keira, Teira™ Wines strives to produce high-quality, limited-production wines from the best appellations in California. Following in the footsteps of generations French wine producers, we are "negociants."
